Dr. Jeff Shnall
I was born and raised in Toronto, Canada.
I graduated with a Bachelor of Science from the University Of Toronto (Bsc in Psychology).
I then completed my degree, Doctor of Dental Surgery at the University of Toronto.
I practice all areas of general dentistry and I treat patients of all ages.
If you spend a few minutes browsing my website you can get a feel for my practise and treatment philosophy. I am a big believer in the adage "An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure." Many of the articles I write for this website (see my blog and patient education articles) are related to the prevention of dental disease and dental disorders through changes in diet, lifestyle and home care.
I practise conservative dentistry and when I examine a patient I go by the adage: "If it ain't broke, don't fix it." However if it is broke i.e. an old filling is failing or you are unhappy with your smile, I offer a range of options to suit your budget.
The practise of dentistry is constantly changing and evolving and as dentists we can offer treatment options that were unthinkable a generation ago. To this end I spend a good number of days away from the office each year learning new techniques and as well I enjoy reading about new innovations and methods of tackling problems that are patients present to us.
When I am not fixing teeth I enjoy:
- Writing....my first children's picture book was published in June 2019
- Walking running (I ran one marathon about some years ago but now run shorter distances for fun and to keep fit)
- Reading about: politics, biographies, history)
- Watching films
- Spending time up north
- Playing tennis
I have a wonderful and supportive family. My partner Alison, three adult children that I am very proud of.
One daughter is a nurse, one daughter is a social worker and one son is still in university.
I would be happy to meet with you to discuss any dental concerns you may have.
If you have any questions or concerns our office is just a phone call or email away.
Sincerely,
Jeff Shnall
